Join our team of experts and learn how to successfully sew challenging fabrics such as leather, fur, chiffon, cork, knit and more. Learn seam and hem finishes and discover ways to make sewing easier using proper feet, stitches and features of BERNINA machines for precise sewing. Let the Creative Consultant, built in the Bernina machines, be your guide as you learn how to successfully work with unique textiles and traditional techniques.

Serger Essentials: Master the basics & Beyond!
Whether you're a novice or an experienced serger owner, this comprehensive, hands-on workshop is great for learning and perfecting all of your serger's stitches. Gail Patrice Yellen
In 1998, Gail started taking all types of classes at a local sewing center in CT. Sewing quickly became a passion and form of creative expression. Experimenting with all types of embellishments is a favorite pastime and her fascination with sergers is an ongoing source of ideas for construction as well as decorative techniques.
Gail is a member of the American Sewing Guild CT Chapter. She teaches classes and workshops across the country including American Sewing Guild National Conferences, the Puyallup Sewing & Stitchery Expo, Original Sewing & Quilt Expos, American Sewing Expo—Novi, MI (2015 Teacher of the Year), Sewcial, Stitches United Expo and numerous American Sewing Guild Chapter events. Her Craftsy classes, 40 Techniques Every Sewer Should Know and her latest one, Coverstitch: Basics & Beyond, are among their bestsellers. Gail is a contributor to Threads, Sew News and Notions. In December 2015 F W Media published Gail’s book, Serger Essentials Master the Basics & Beyond !
